The ARC Gerontology Program prepares graduates for transfer to university and/or employment in the Aging Network, a system of state and local government agencies established through the Older Americans Act of 1965. Within the network of agencies, non-profit organizations, institutions, and for-profit contractors an associate degree in gerontology readily secures an entry-level position with upward mobility in a broad array of positions providing information and referral services, employment and legal services, activity and recreation programs, health education and health promotion programs, and health care and support services for older adults.
