Program Overview:

Gerontology at URI is a large-scale, University-wide program, with participating faculty and students from several academic departments and colleges, including: nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, kinesiology, nutrition, health studies, human development and family studies, sociology, economics, and political science.

We offer a variety of academic programs and options in gerontology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

In addition, gerontology has well-established linkages to many governmental departments, institutions, and community-based service agencies. We offer a wide range of internships and experiential learning opportunities across a variety of settings.
