Program Overview:
The Gerontology Program at UNC Charlotte is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary program co-sponsored by the colleges of Health and Human Services and Liberal Arts and Sciences. We are supported by 25 affiliate faculty with expertise in a broad range of aging related disciplines. The Program offers an undergraduate minor, graduate certificate, and partners with the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies to offer a Master’s degree with a concentration in gerontological studies. Our graduate and undergraduate curricula are designed to prepare students from a vast array of disciplines to work across a broad array of career fields from government agencies to non-profits and private industry. We are perfectly situated for experiential education with our many community partners in Charlotte and beyond. We pride ourselves on preparing students for both traditional and non-traditional careers in gerontology.
