Program Overview:

The OSU S.A.G.E. program is a three-course online distance learning program of The Ohio State University which provides continuing education and training in the field of aging. Throughout the series of courses, special attention is devoted to issues of social, cultural, and ethnic diversity. This program is designed for professionals working in the field of aging who need additional discipline-specific training, individuals who provide services for older adults, and those wanting to pursue a career serving older adults who do not wish to or cannot return to graduate school; administrators, regulators, policy makers, direct service providers, program evaluators, and others caring for our aging population. Students successfully completing the program receive a Certificate of Completion in Gerontology from The Ohio State University.

Program Overview:

This program is an on-line education program appropriate for a wide audience of students interested in continuing education and professional development in aging and is appropriate for administrators, direct care staff in long-term care and health care, social service providers, clinicians, policy makers, and community providers who have interactions with older adults as they provide community-based services. Modules can be completed from any computer, 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. Most modules should take approximately one hour to complete.
