Program Overview:

Gerontology is a multidisciplinary field focused on the processes of aging in older adults.

The experience of aging is a rich process that begins at birth. Every individual undergoes changes in their social lives, cognitive health, emotional responses, and physical bodies as they develop. Gerontology takes advantage of the knowledge and skills from a broad range of disciplines to understand the aging process; provide better resources, products, and care to older adults; and prepare people for their own aging experiences.
